ELEMENTS THAT TELL STORIES
ORMA is the Romansh (old latin language spoken in the Alps) word for the soul and refers to the Graubünden roots. The two ibexes symbolize the two founders, who brought ORMA Swiss Whiskey Ltd to life out of their friendship. Based on an hourglass, which reflects the finitude of life, Capricorns also stand for the duality of life – Ying & Yang.
As a homage to the time and the original Swiss art of watch manufacture, the lettering contains elements of a watch. The letter R includes the clock hand. If the ORMA whiskey bottle is turned 180°, you can see the Roman number 8 (VIII). It is the same number that can be found in the symbol of the ibex. It is the lucky number that also stands for harmony, connectedness and perfection.
DEDICATE THE INFINITE MOMENT TO THE SPECIAL
Pouring an ORMA Swiss whiskey is tantamount to a ritual of appreciation. Like turning an hourglass counterclockwise, time is symbolically stopped. In this moment of pausing, the infinite moment belongs entirely to the here and now, to the special, the unique, to oneself and to the other person.
